My postdoc lab is hiring, and I’m helping with the interview process. One thing we’ve asked candidates to share is their thoughts on theory and practice in biology. It would be really cool to create a mini course that pairs papers on microbiology theory and practice! We would critically read a theory paper first one week, then practical applications the next week, and discuss how one informs the other.
